Message from Rhiannon
Dear ATWI Singers,
Winter on the farm with the actual physical construction of the music studio going on. Wow! By the end of February we will have the basic building up with windows and doors installed. ATWI 2016, session one will take place in that studio. It feels like a miracle, a long awaited, thrilling, music miracle. I thank each of you for your inspiration, your contributions, your energetic love.
We have a solid commitment from many of you. A group of Europeans have signed on as well as North Americans. Having singers from around the planet will be wonderful.
I want to be sure that as many of you as possible can come. If you cannot come for the whole time, please don’t let that stop you. Please come for as many days as you can.
We can pro-rate housing and fees. We thought that six days of gathering was important in order to have enough time to share skills and ideas, but what is more important is to make sure that as many of you as possible can find the money and financial resources to participate.
We want to have a large group of ATWI singers from all the years so that you can meet one another, collaborate, dream up new projects and show us how you are using Vocal River and other improvisational techniques in your work.
For myself, I feel on the brink of new discoveries about my place in this work; how I am transforming after writing Vocal River, how being on Hawaii Island is shaking loose some deeper levels of desire, and to understand and articulate how this work changes all our lives.
I want so much to talk with all of you and to share all our visions. I want to see what you are exploring. I dream about you meeting one another. Please let me and Margie know if you can come even for a day or two. Let us help to imagine how you can get there.
